What about David Friesen?
For the past 60 years, legendary American Jazz musician David Friesen, bassist, pianist, composer and jazz educator has been performing in concert and/or recording with jazz legends, his own groups and presenting jazz workshops worldwide in over 32 countries including the USA..
He is listed in a recent music educators poll as one of 25 most influential jazz bassists in the history of jazz and also listed in a jazz critics poll as one of 100 greatest jazz bass players in the history of jazz. He has been inducted into the Oregon Music Hall of Fame and the Portland, Oregon Jazz Society Hall of Fame.
